At the residence of Reb Hershele Friedmann in Liska, Rebbe Steiner Sajele of Kerestir delved into the most profound Torah knowledge and wisdom. This knowledge led him to his great journey in the service of the community.

The spiritual center of Hasidism

Under Reb Hershele Friedman's leadership, Liska (Olaszliszka) became a spiritual center of Hasidism, drawing thousands who came to see him.

The spiritual inheritance of Moshe Teitelbaum.

Hershele's initial knowledge was acquired by Yismach Moshe, who was the Rebbe of Ujhely (Sátoraljaújhely).  Teitelbaum nominated Hershele as his successor, whose wisdom travels the world every day.
